Fisheries management and applied conservation problems drive my scientific curiosity. My research interests include fisheries science, marine conservation, design of management systems, population dynamics, juvenile fish life-history strategies, migration ecology, mark-recapture modeling, quantitative ecology, and climate change impacts on fisheries.
The land on which I live and work is the unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
I acknowledge my privileges and try to be a good ally to women, people of colour, LGBTQ+ people, and people from other marginalized groups.
